#12 NON-COLOBORATION - ON SCULPTURE

Application of contemporary art

Why the talk is inspiring?

How were international artistic practises applied in the contemporary Lithuanian art scene during the Soviet times and how is it done now? What exactly happens when contemporary art leaves the “white cube” and enters the public space? Which of these two definitions: “late modernisation” or “quiet modernism” helps understanding the source of our contemporary art better?

Discussion with independent curator, critic Laima Kreivytė and artist Deimantas Narkevičius moderated by Elona Lubytė.

The talk is held on Thursday, 8.00 p.m. at the National Art Gallery (NDG), Konstitucijos av. 22, Vilnius. Entrance is free of charge.
